My mother grew up in a small town in Montana called Choteau with a population of around 1700 at the time, so she was well known for her creative and interesting thought process. She likes to draw realistic pictures of princesses for my little sister, her favorite one is the cinderella drawing. For a little while, she would knit animals for the neighborhood kids, the animals were normally lions, penguins and birds, etc.
She is a big thrill seeker, like she told me “she wants to go in a air balloon and swing off of it and parachute down to the ground”. She is very interested in how criminals think and how to use it against them. She spends most of her free time after work on the couch watching her favorite T.V shows, Bones, The Walking Dead, Criminal Minds, Monk, and Supernatural. Some of these shows spark her interests in criminology. Besides the T.V shows, she would read Edgar allan poe’s books about criminals also.
But don’t get the wrong impression of my mom, she only likes how the killer thinks, and not what they do, mostly how they did it. For example, she thinks the most brilliant killer is the zodiac killer, because “He made a code/cypher that would reveal everything about him, and no one has cracked it yet.” While deciphering the paper he sent to the police station, they a few spelling errors, with his own cypher, “he must not he the best speller on earth”. Another interesting killer is Jack The Ripper, because he killed the people in a way the an anatomy doctor would perform surgeries. “Did he want to help people and then got tired of it, or did he go to school just to learn so he can perform those acts on people”? Jeffrey dahmer was a strange one, after he killed his victim, he would eat a piece of them to keep their soal with him at all times. “I’d bet he was very religious, that’s why he killed and ate them”. Jim Jones did the worst, he was a cult leader, and he convinced over 900 people to go to a place called jamestown and commit suicide, mostly everyone went threw with it, along with Jim Jones. “It makes me sad every time, because some of the people there were little kids following their parents, they had no idea what was happening.”
With all the knowledge she has about past serial killers, she will be able to predict future criminal actions,”Criminals might take notes form past killers, so it’s like a defence mechanism”. For the longest time, she always wanted to know “How Serial Killers can be so brilliant, but have no empathy for human life”. Even though this can be mentally exhausting, My mother would’ve loved to have this kind of job, but before she could get into college, she became a mom, so she put all of her attention to her kids. So now she works as an accountant for Black and Mcdonald slc, and watches T.V shows about her dream job.
Having a speaker is always a nice thing to have, especially if it is an affordable and superior to others. The Sony SRS XB30 Extra Bass fits all those characteristics, to an extent. When I purchased the speaker, it was on sale for 58$ and my local best buy, the original price is as round 150$ so I got lucky. The speaker has some weight to it but not anything to drastic, it spans around 9 inches long and a width of 3 inches creating a odd shape to it.
Holding it, it can get uncomfortable for extended periods of time, but with a small width, it can easily fit in the palm of you hand. On Top of the speaker, you have an array of buttons, that includes the extra bass, phone call, pause or continue, the add button, the volume controls, and the power of button. Once the speaker is on, holding the power button activates the bluetooth pairing,(once you have paired, you no longer need to do that, it will automatically connect to your device). The add button allows you to connect multiple devices(speakers) all to your device. The pause and continue button are self explanatory, including the phone call one.
Finally, the extra bass button can be also be self explanatory, but the interesting thing about it is that when you hold the button down, the lights in front of the speaker begins to perform a light show “mimicking” all the bass drops in the song. The light shows all depend on the specific song you are listening to. Besides vibrant colors there’s two small sections on the left and the right in the front speaker that flash a really bright light that can get annoying at times, but we all have our preferences. Overall I am very happy with my purchase.
Disputes can happen anywhere and with anyone, but in today’s world, its over the internet. There has been multiple disputes over rap music in the past, like the N.W.A vs Ice Cube which they argued because Easy E got most of the cut form their success, but Ice Cube wrote more than half their songs, so he left, making a successful career by himself. But N.W.A fires some distracts at him called No Vaseline, but Ice Cube did not respond. That’s just one of the many rap disputes that happened, but one happened very recently. The Eminem and Machine gun Kelly Dispute.
August 31: Eminem drops a surprise album called Kamikaze, which was about how much he wishes this new class of rappers would leave the scene. Machine Gun Kelly is mentioned by name on “Not Alike”, over a tweet he made in 2012 commenting how hot his daughter is. Now about Eminem’s daughter this may be a shock, but Hailie Scott was about 16 years old when MGK was about 21 years old at the time, which made Eminem mad.
September 3: MGK soon drops a diss track for Eminem called “Rap Devil” (a shot at Eminem’s song “Rap God”), claiming that he tried to sabotage his career early on. He later tweeted, “I’m standing up for not just myself, but my generation. I’m doing the same %&*$ you did back in ur day. Life is still real on my side, and I had to take time from the grind to defend myself from someone I called an idol.”
September 6: It’s reported that Eminem has an MGK response “in the works” that should have MGK shook. “I’ll tell you this, I wouldn’t wanna be Machine Gun Kelly,” said Mr. Porter, Eminem’s producer. “It’s great that you took that opportunity and did that, hey, kudos to you. You remember when Thanos threw that whole planet at Iron Man? It will be like that.”
September 12: Eminem sits down with Sway Calloway to clarify why he even dissed MGK in the first place, saying it wasn’t necessarily because of what was said about his daughter, which he didn’t hear about until a year after the fact anyway.
September 14: Eminem has dropped his Machine Gun Kelly response, titled “Killshot,” where he goes off on MGK for his appearance and lack of success. The song broke the YouTube record for the most viewed in under 24 hours hitting 38.1 million views. Later that day MGK shared his thoughts on the song, he appeared to be less than impressed with Eminem’s response.
September 16: MGK performs in Orlando wearing a shirt with the Killshot artwork. He opens the show saying, “the real Slim Shady can’t stand up” and then leading the crowd on an inappropriate chant.
September 20: MGK appears on the Breakfast Club to set the record straight about his history with Eminem. “He should’ve said what he said on Kamikaze six years ago, but we did handle it 6 years ago, MGK talked to Eminem’s manager Paul Rosenberg. Later at the club, MGK says, “I apologize. Can I take the tweet down? “But public apology? C’mon man.” later on declaring that the tension is now in the past.
Personally, I think that MGK should keep his mouth shut for now on, especially commenting on someone’s daughter especially eminems. You shouldn’t mess with people that could easily bring you down. On the flip side, MGK spoke with his manager about it, trying to make it up for what he said, but people have their grudges, even if it happened six years ago.
Famous investigative journalist Elizabeth Jane Cochran, otherwise known as Nellie Bly was born on May 5, 1864, in Cochran’s Mills, Pennsylvania. The town was founded by her father, Michael, who was the one providing for the family by working as a judge and landowner. Michael had 10 children with his first wife and five more with Mary Jane, his second. Nellie suffered a tragic loss in 1870, at the age of 6, when her father died suddenly. Michael’s death presented financial issues to the family, as he left them with no legal claim to his land.
Later on, Nellie enrolled at the Indiana Normal School, where she studied to become a teacher. Not long after beginning her courses there, having no money forced her to drop her hopes for becoming a teacher. After leaving the school, she moved with her mother to the nearby city of Pittsburgh, where they ran a boarding house together.
Nellie’s future began to look brighter in the early 1880s, at 18 years old, she submitted a response to an editorial piece that had been published in the Pittsburgh Dispatch. In the piece, Erasmus Wilson claimed that women were best served by conducting domestic duties and called the working woman a monstrosity. Her response (I couldn’t find what she said in the response) grabbed the attention of the paper’s managing editor, George Madden, who soon offered her a position.
In 1885, She began working as a reporter for the Pittsburgh Dispatch with a payment of $5 per week. She wanted to highlight the negative consequences of sexist ideologies and the importance of women’s rights issues. She also became well known for her investigative and undercover reporting, including posing as a sweatshop worker to expose poor working conditions faced by women. However, Nellie later on continued the more investigative reporting.
In 1887, Nellie Moved to New York City and began working for the New York World, the Newspaper that is known for the yellow journalism. One of her earliest assignments was to go to the mental institution on Blackwell’s Island, now currently called Roosevelt Island. She pretended to be a patient in order to expose the horrible conditions, she was there for 10 days.
This is one of the stories that really kicked off her writing career, she wrote more investigative articles until january 27, 1922, where she passed away at 57 years old from pneumonia in New York City.
The fire continues to rage in the hills east of the city of Chico, is also the most destructive fire in California history, with more than 18,000 structures destroyed, most of them homes. It’s still not certain what caused the most destructive wildfire in state history. At the time of writing this, the death toll hit 88 and 203 names not counted for, alleged missing. 52,000 people have been displaced to shelters, the homes of friends and relatives, to motels, and to a Walmart parking lot just miles away from the ashes.
Walmart has added security to the location and is concerned about safety there, but it is not asking people to leave. More residents were being allowed back into the zone of a wildfire that torched an area the size of Denver west of Los Angeles. The fire is about 80% contained after destroying nearly 18,000 homes and other buildings. At least three deaths were reported in the area. Air quality across California remains so poor due to huge amounts of smoke that schools from Sacramento to the Pacific Coast were closed on Friday.
Some evacuees helped sort piles of donations that have poured in. Racks of used clothes from sweaters to plaid flannel shirts and tables covered with pairs of boots, sneakers and shoes competed for space with shopping carts full of clothes, garbage bags stuffed with other donations and boxes of books and stuffed animals.
The National Weather Service forecast extreme fire danger or “red flag” conditions through at least Saturday evening, with winds blowing up to 40 mph in the Santa Barbara County mountains where the fire is burning. Firefighters were facing northerly winds through the night that could turn into northeasterly Santa Ana winds, driving the flames in another direction.
Everything about the fire was massive, the fire blaze is bigger than many cities, that scales the destruction that the fire has caused including neighborhoods. More than 8,000 firefighters from nearly a dozen states, including 32 helicopters and 78 bulldozers are battling the fire. Firefighters continued to deal with the loss of their own. All 17 of the firefighters on Cory Iverson’s strike team were pulled off the fire lines after his death.
The Federal Emergency Management Agency has distributed more than $20 million for people displaced by California’s deadliest wildfire. FEMA spokesman Frank Mansell said that $15.5 million has been spent on housing assistance, including vouchers for hotel rooms. He says the disaster response is in an early phase but many people will eventually get longer term housing in trailers or apartments.
So far, this fire has been the deadliest and biggest in california history. Many people are homeless and have lost everything due to the fire. The fire has destroyed everything in its path, the cost of the damage is around $670 million. Please note that the missing, death toll and other statistics will likely change in the future

If you seem interested, your in luck! David Owens has a SkillsUSA club in his classroom every other Wednesdays after school. Come in and see if you are interested in the club, them you will need to pay $20 to be fully in the club. I got the opportunity to go to one of there meetings and here is what I have to say.
After school I walked over to Owens classroom and there was a member already there, he is a senior named Cy. About five minutes later me, Cy and owens walked over to the pantree thing, with the clothes and food. We had to wait for the key so I talked to Cy for a bit. He said the meeting last for 30 minutes, and they either do community services, or, one time he brought his xbox 1 and they played forza 4 the whole time. By the time owners got back, two more members showed up, but I didn’t catch their names.
Courtney Long, the assistant principal wanted us to clean the place out and tidy up the clothes and shoes. He showed us the boxes he wanted to keep and some of the food to keep, the rest gets thrown away and recycled. He also showed us a glass mirror he wanted us hung up, but owens decided to do that. We started by throwing the stuff away, by the time we got that done, the two other members had to go, me and Cy remained and started cleaning up the clothes and shoes.
We got done with that by 3:00 ish, so we walked back to Owens class and told him we are done, them we went home. typically that is some of the things that you would do in the meetings that you would attend. Overall, if you are interested in any sort of automotive, woodworking, or foods, this is a great club to join and get some more experience and learn more things.
have time to walk over there.
